José has achieved a series of successful
business ventures in the public sector, the corporate world and
academia, which are complemented by a solid academic background
from leading institutions such as The London School of Economics,
The University of Chicago and Universidad Iberoamericana.
He is an expert on turnaround strategy and
improvement of financial performance for various businesses. He
has participated in developing integrated business models and organizational
structures for diverse undertakings, such as investment promotion,
wealth management, international trade agreements and healthcare.
Always combining the former with extensive research projects he
has done for over twenty organizations.
He has worked for the Mexican Ministry of
Trade, Mexico's Exim-Bank, CIDE (Economics Research Center), Samsung
Electronics, US Department of Education, NORC (at the University
of Chicago), and philanthropic initiatives. He has also lived in
dynamic cities like Seoul, London, Chicago and Mexico City. His
topics of interest are network dynamics, cognitive analysis and
social responsibility of the enterprise.
José is fluent in English, Spanish,
Japanese and Korean. He is an avid rice eater, is a car enthusiast
and drinks Single Malt Scotch with Evian ice.
